I offer Peer Informed Counselling and Mentoring support for people living with Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective and Bipolar Disorder.

FREE PEER CHAT

In Person (A bit expensive more due to petrol)

$60/hr for people living on disability pension (if you live close to Wangi Wangi, I should be able to make this a bit cheaper)

$90/hr for everyone else.

All sessions must be paid for in full prior to the commencement of chat.

You may prefer support on an ongoing basis or only every now and then when your symptoms are flaring up. It is totally up to you.

I am not here just to support you in the recovery journey but I can listen to you and talk to you about your delusions and hallucinations or any other symptoms you are experiencing.

All discussions will be completely confidential.

I can chat to you via messenger, meet you at your house, at a cafe or in a park, it is up to you, wherever you feel most comfortable.

I do not prescribe medication, your medical treatment and medical care will be completely independent of our work together. I can communicate with your health care team and family members if it is something you want.

I believe every person with schizophrenia needs a safe person they can talk too without fear of involuntary hospitalisation. I want to be that person for you.

I also understand if you are feeling paranoid you may become paranoid about me too and that is totally ok.

Advocacy Services

$50-$100

I offer advocacy support for people living with schizophrenia, schizoaffective and bipolar disorder in two means based categories -

$60 /hr for people living on disability support

$90 /hr for everyone else.

Involuntary Hospitalisation (Sectioning)

If you are sectioned, I can provide you with counselling whilst you are in hospital (as a visitor). I think been sectioned is such a traumatising experience and at present there is no requirement for the hospital to provide you with trauma counselling if you want it.

Tribunal Hearing

I can come to your hospital tribunal hearing (If you nominate me). In my experience the tribunal hearing was just another example where I felt completely dismissed, unseen and unheard by the mental health system. I may not be able to get you the outcome that you want, but I will be on your side in there and a“sane/insane” voice to voice all of your concerns, ask questions and advocate for you when you may not be in a place to be able to do it for yourself.

I can also come to medical appointments etc if its something you want.

Delusion/Psychosis/Dream Interpretation 

$50

I have always loved interpreting my dreams and I found this skill very useful in understanding my psychosis and delusions

If you also find your own mind fascinating, as i do! and would like my interpretation please submit a1 page maximum description of your delusions/psychosis/dream

You can expect a one half to one page response outlining some of the main themes etc that were facing you at the time of the delusion/psychosis/dream
